Quick re-cap

We finally have internet again and so now I can actually update our blog. I know that I am way behind and have a lot to catch up on, but I just don't see it happening right now so we'll just do a quick recap.

-We have left Germany after 3 years and moved to Whiteman AFB in Missouri on May 6th.

-We went to Norman Oklahoma on the 15th of May where I received my Masters in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.

-The following week we bought a new car (finally) and put a contract on a home all in the same day.

-We stayed in a hotel until June 19th when we finally closed on our house.

-June 20th Allan celebrated his 30th birthday in style. By that I mean that we spent the whole day painting ;)

-June 21st we celebrated Daddy's day. I took the boys shopping and spent lots of money while daddy stayed home and got some much needed sleep. Did I mention that he works 14 hour night shifts so he sleeps during the day? It adds a little bit of stress in the household while I try desperately to keep the kids quite and not yell at them ;)

-June 24th we got all of our stuff delivered and now we are currently swimming in boxes.

-June 25th we got internet, yeah!!!

-June 1-26 Matthew went to summer school at Whiteman Elementary School. It is not the school that he will be attending in the fall since we live in a different district now, but it was down the street from the hotel that we were in for the past month and a half. He did a really good job and made some friends. It was nice for him to get out of the hotel room for a few hours a day.

-June 15-26 I enrolled both boys in swim lessons . They both did a fantastic job and I am so proud of them.

That about covers it and now we are caught up to today where I sit on the couch and type this all while avoiding the boxes that block my view from one room to the next.

I promise to try to stay on top of things and update more regularly. Things have just been so very busy lately and we are trying to get all settled in before the boys and I leave for Houston next month. My goal is to be unpacked by then, we'll see how that goes ;) Love to all and I hope to see a lot of you in Houston next month. We should be there around the 15th of July so start setting aside some time for us ;)
