We finally have a house, yea! We move in on the 15th of June. So we ended up in the hotel for a month which isn’t too bad although I can definitely wait to do it again =) We will be staying there before our departure when we leave in 3 years, but won’t be too bad since the boys will be older and will be able to walk to the top floor.
As for our adjustment to our new surroundings I think that we are handling it fairly well. Matthew will sleep anywhere, Zachary on the other hand is a different story. It is taking a long time to adjust. Allan had to leave for a few days to go down to Ramstein AFB for some training so it was just me and the boys. No license, no car, no where to go =( Although we did end up making a trip down to the big base, Spangdahlem, where the doctor is as Zachary had yet another ear infection. Apparently it has not gone away since the previous one that he got right before we left. So he is miserable, poor baby. I had to call up one of the girls that I had just met and ask for a 45 min. lift to the doctor’s office. She is too sweet for putting up with the 3 of us for the day. She also happens to have a little boy that is just 2 weeks younger than Matthew so it has worked out nicely. Anyways, we go to the doc. and we are referred off base to an ear nose and throat specialist in another city. We went there and apparently Zachary has a lot of mucous built up in his ears and he will need tubes which will be done on Fri. July 14. It is a German hospital so no AC and no English, well except for the doctor. I swear Allan has been my saving Grace. All his years of German in high school are definitely paying off! I can’t go anywhere w/o him!
****Zachary crawled for the first time on 22 May and then stood on 3 June! Plus we have 2 bottom teeth! As of 2 June he is 19lbs 11 oz.
****Matthew said "I love you" for the first time. It just came out and it was so cute! The little devil =)
